Rued Langgaard Masterclass and Competition for Classical Talents
On May 3 and 4, 2025, the Rued Langgaard Competition will be held in Koncertkirken and Sankt Markus Kirke in Copenhagen. Three prizes will be awarded. The winner of the first prize in both the Main and Special Competition will also win a concert at the Rued Langgaard Festival 2025 in September in Ribe.
The festival promotes classical music traditions with a focus on young talent through the Rued Langgaard Masterclass and Competition.
Focus on Young Talents: Rued Langgaard Masterclass and Competition
The Rued Langgaard Festival is pleased to once again focus on young talents, food chain and education in classical music when we organize the Langgaard Masterclass and Competition.
The aim is to stimulate awareness of Rued Langgaard’s music in the professional Danish environment and give young talented musicians concert experience.
Rued Langgaard Masterclass will be held at the classical music conservatories during the spring within the categories:
- Songs (song duos)
- solo piano
- violin/piano duo
- string quartets
- organ
Masterclass will in practice be a sparring session with experienced Langgaard musicians and singers.
