The Rued Langgaard Festival would like to invite you and your choir to participate in the Rued Langgaard Festival’s opening concert, “Domkirkepladsen Sings.”

Singers from choirs throughout South and Southern Jutland have signed up—and we hope to gather a large choir at Ribe Cathedral Square on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to participate. If you’d like to join, you can still sign up as an individual or as a choir by contacting Helle Lund Rosborg: hlr@langgaardfestival.dk

Practical information about the concert Domkirkepladsen sings:

  • Sheet music and audio files:

    Sheet music and audio files can be downloaded here on this page.

  • Rehearsal and difficulty level:

    Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level!

  • Participants:

    You can participate as an entire choir, part of a choir, a group of singers, or simply as individuals.

  • Attire:

    If you have choir uniforms, it would be festive if you wore them to the concert. Otherwise, there’s no dress code.

Concert Day, September 3:

  • 3:00 p.m. Coffee/water and Langgaardkringle in Ribe (more information about the meeting place to follow)
  • 4:00 p.m. Everyone meets at Ribe Cathedral Square and finds their designated area
  • 4:30–5:15 p.m. Concert

The concert program features works written by or related to Rued Langgaard. You’re invited to sing along, and you can download the choral parts here:

for children’s choirs, boys’ choirs, girls’ choirs, women’s choirs, men’s choirs, and community choirs, as well as brass instruments, arranged by Rued Langgaard and Benjamin Friis Nielsen.
