Festival Student
Festival Student is Rued Langgaard Festival’s educational initiative in collaboration with Ribe Katedralskole, MGK-Syd in Esbjerg and the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
High school pupils and young students participate in workshops and concerts with a special focus on communication.
The project is developed and implemented every year in close collaboration with teachers and educators from the three institutions.

At Ribe Katedralskole, students work with an interdisciplinary focus where subjects other than music come into play and are involved in creating products related to this year’s festival theme.

Hear the sound of Ribe: The music class at Ribe Cathedral School composed the work “The Sound of Ribe”, a musique concréte piece inspired by Else Marie Pade’s work “A Day in Copenhagen”.
Sound art students at the Royal Danish Academy of Music composed electronic works based on Else Marie Pade’s principles in the work “Seven Circles”.
