Langgaard Masterclass and Competition for Classical Talents

May 5, 2024, the Langgaard Competition will be held in the Concert Church and St. Mark’s Church in Copenhagen.
Three prizes will be awarded.
The winner of the first prize will also win a concert at the Rued Langgaard Festival 2024 in September in Ribe.
The festival promotes classical music traditions with a focus on young talent through the Langgaard Masterclass and Competition 2024.
Focus on Young Talents: Langgaard Masterclass and Competition 2024
The Rued Langgaard Festival is delighted to once again focus on young talents, food chain and education in classical music when we host the Langgaard Masterclass and Competition in spring 2024.
The aim is to stimulate awareness of Rued Langgaard’s music in the professional Danish environment and give young talented musicians concert experience.
Langgaard master classes will be held at the classical music conservatories during the spring in the categories
- Songs (song duos)
- solo piano
- violin/piano duo
- string quartets
- organ
The master class will in practice function as sparring with experienced Langgaard musicians and singers.
