JURY

Once again this year, six skilled jury members listened through two intense days of great sound:

Sine Bundgaard, soprano, Marie Louise Broholt Jensen, viola, Kristoffer Hyldig, piano, Teresa La Cour, violin, Jakob Lorentzen, organist and Esben Tange – jury leader and festival director of Rued Langgaard Festival.

Head of the Rued Langgaard Competition Signe Asmussen was once again impressed by the young musicians’ high professional level:

“The Rued Langgaard Competition is an incredibly exciting space to follow the young musicians in. They throw themselves into Langgaard’s music with a great appetite to make it their own, giving it new nuances and personality. It’s so wonderful to hear their courage expressed at such a high musical level.”

Jury leader Esben Tange adds: “It was a particular joy to hear the ensembles that threw themselves into arranging music by Langgaard for their own ensembles. The GuitarIlied duo found a new intimacy and poetry in Langgaard’s songs, and Trio Lingo’s version of the piano piece Afgrundsmusik was hair-raisingly dangerous. Respect!”
